Wheelcarter Original and best |

| Wheelcarter was developed and patented in 1995 by Steven Carter to bring ease of handling and safely to the task of handling agricultural wheels, traditionally one of the most dangerous jobs on the farm or in the workshop. Today’s intensive farming practices offer mean larger tractors performance multi-task roles necessitating regular wheel changes to suit ground conditions and crops. Even if an extra pair of hands is available, the presence of another person can actually hinder some operations such as handling rowcrop wheels. | ||||||||||

| The Wheelcarter incorporates a heavy-duty frame mounted on two 160mm fixed wheels and one 200mm hard poly tyred swivel castor at the rear. An integral 5 ton jack lifts (up to 200mm) the wheel safely and easily on two forks each with three pivoting rollers. The forks are lowered to push under the wheel. A sturdy safety chain is secured around the wheel before the forks are raised lifting the wheel clear of the ground. | ||||||||||
| The operator is in total control during transit and positioning with hands and fingers protected. This degree of control and good visibility dramatically reduces the risk of pushing a tractor off its jack. Also the operator can hear the wheel going over the studs, minimising the risk of stripping threads. | ||||||||||
| The wheel is rotated on the six rollers for effective alignment with mounting studs while Wheelcarter’s open design provides good access for the operator and equipment, especially useful when fitting deep terra tyres. Wheelcarter also handles duals, rowcrops, front wheels and flotations. | ||||||||||
